CJPT-FM is a radio station broadcasting at 103.7 FM in Brockville, Ontario, Canada. The station, owned by Bell Media, airs an adult hits format branded as ''Bounce 103.7''. History The station was originally licensed by the CRTC in 1987 to Eastern Broadcasting, the owner of CFJR. Eastern sold both stations to St. Lawrence Broadcasting before the FM station was launched. St. Lawrence launched the FM station in mid-1988 as classic rock CHXL. The former CHXL brandings were ''XL-103'' and ''The River''. In 1996, both Brockville stations, as well as sister stations CKLC and CFLY in Kingston, were sold to CHUM Limited. On January 1, 2001, CHUM changed CHXL's call sign and format, adopted the current CJPT calls and began airing a hot adult contemporary format as ''103.7 The Point''. The station broadcasts at 103.7 FM, with an effective radiated power of 250 watts, from a transmitter located atop the Arthur Schmon Tower on the Brock campus. CKRK-FM is an English-language Canadian radio station located in the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, a First Nations reserve near Montreal, Quebec. It broadcasts on 103.7 MHz with an effective radiated power of 250 watts ( class A1) using an omnidirectional antenna. Recent measurements indicate that the transmitter is pushing out 250 watts. The station is heard extremely well in Kahnawake and surrounding towns in the southwest sector of the Montérégie. Reception is also possible on the island of Montreal, particularly in the south and southwest sectors of the island. CKRK-FM was originally on 103.5 MHz with only 50 watts; it moved to its current frequency and raised its power in 1996, after another station, CJLM-FM, signed on the same channel in Joliette, causing interference.
