"Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook" formerly known as "ENEOS 1006 km powered by Hankook", "ENEOS 1006 km lenktynės", "Horn Grand Prix", "TV3 1003 kilometrų lenktynės" and "Omnitel 1000 km lenktynės" (for sponsorship reasons) is a touring car racing, touring car and Grand tourer, GT Endurance racing (motorsport), endurance racing event held annually in Lithuania, at Palanga circuit, two kilometers away from the resort town of Palanga. The race was first held in 2000. History 1000 km lenktynės at Palanga Circuit, then known as "Horn Grand Prix", was first held in 2000. A total of 18 teams entered the race. It was won by Vytautas Venskūnas, Vladas Laurinavičius, and Eugenijus Tumalevičius. In 2004, the number of participants increased to 34, in 2005 to 37. Benediktas Vanagas (born ) is a Lithuanian rally driver. Vanagas is one of the few racing drivers in the Baltic states who has achieved good results competing in various auto racing disciplines, such as rallying, rally raid racing, endurance racing and off-road competitions, though he most often competes as a rally driver. Sebastiaan Bleekemolen (born 9 August 1978 in Haarlem) is a Dutch racing driver that currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, driving for the family-owned Team Bleekemolen in the No. 69 Ford Mustang in the Elite 1 class. His brother Jeroen and father Michael are also racing drivers. His father is a former Formula One driver, who has competed with RAM and ATS. Background On June 6, 2016, it was announced that the race distance will be increased from 1000 kilometers to 1006 kilometers to honor new event promoter TV6. This marked a renewed partnership between race organisers and UAB TELE-3, a Lithuanian television company that owns both TV6 and TV3 brands in Lithuania. Ralf Aron (born 21 March 1998) is an Estonian former racing driver, who competed in the Italian F4 Championship, ADAC Formula 4 and European Formula 3 championships for Prema Powerteam and Hitech GP.
