1. SC Znojmo FK is a football club from the South Moravian town of Znojmo, Czech Republic. After the 2018–19 season, the club was relegated into the Moravian–Silesian Football League (third level league). History Znojmo won promotion from the Czech Fourth Division in 2002, finishing first in Division D in the 2001–02 season. The club followed this with eight seasons in the Moravian–Silesian Football League, before winning another promotion in 2010 under manager Michal Sobota. The club secured promotion to the Czech 2. Liga two matches before the end of 2009–10 season. Znojmo replaced Sobota in the summer of 2010, partly due to him not having a coaching license for professional football. His replacement was Bohumil Smrček. Two relatively unsuccessful seasons followed under Smrček, with the club finishing 14th and 13th respectively. The Czech First League, known as the Fortuna liga for sponsorship reasons, is a Czech professional league for football clubs. At the top of the Czech football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Seasons typically run from August to May, most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays with few games played on Fridays. All Fortuna liga clubs qualify for the Czech Cup. The history of the Czech football league began with its reorganization for the 1993–94 season following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia and therefore the league became the successor of the Czechoslovak League. Oldřich Machala
Oldřich Machala (born 4 August 1963) is a Czech football coach and a former player. Career Machala was born in Bruntál. He played most of his Gambrinus liga career for SK Sigma Olomouc, for which he earned 414 league caps, most in the club's history. He is considered a legendary footballer of the club. In 2000, he won the Personality of the League award at the Czech Footballer of the Year awards. He won his only cap for the Czech Republic as a last-minute substitute against Nigeria in 1996. Jiří Fryš
Jiří Fryš (born 11 March 1950) is a football manager. He led RH Znojmo for four years, seeing them advance from the Moravian–Silesian Football League (MSFL) to the Second League. He led Dukla Prague during the 1992–93 Czechoslovak First League, taking over after 16 matches of the season from František Plass, with the club finishing the season in 14th place. The following season saw Dukla start with six consecutive defeats, which saw Fryš replaced by Dan Matuška. He returned to Znojmo in 1993 and spent another five years with the club. In 2001 Fryš left his position at FC Kyjov 1919 and shortly later started at SK Dolní Kounice in the MSFL. He left Dolní Kounice in autumn 2002 and took over at LeRK Prostějov in 2003. Libor Sionko (born 1 February 1977) is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. At club level he started in his home town of Ostrava, playing for the youth teams of TJ Vítkovice and Baník Ostrava. Professionally, he played in his native country until 2004, featuring for clubs including Ostrava and Sparta Prague. He then went abroad, playing in Austria for Grazer AK and Austria Wien before heading to Scotland where he played for Rangers. He subsequently had a spell in Denmark with F.C. Copenhagen before returning to the Czech Republic to finish his career with Sparta, where he last played before retiring in 2012. Patrik Siegl (born 26 February 1976, in Šternberk) is a former Czech football player who lastly played for FK Fotbal Třinec. He played predominantly as a midfielder.
