The Córas Iompair Éireann 071 Class or Northern Ireland Railways 111 Class is a General Motors Electro-Motive Division EMD JT22CW series diesel-electric locomotive used in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Serbia utilises four similar locomotives as JŽ series 666. Córas Iompair Éireann The Córas Iompair Éireann 071 Class locomotives were the principal passenger locomotives on the Irish railway network for twenty years from their introduction in the late 1970s. They displaced the older CIÉ 001 Class and NIR 101 Class locomotives and were themselves replaced in turn by the new 201 Class locomotives. Currently all the CIÉ locomotives remain in service, being used on freight and permanent way trains. The NIR 101 Class is a class of diesel-electric locomotive formerly operated by Northern Ireland Railways (NIR). With the return to the working of the ''Enterprise'' service from Belfast to Dublin with coaching stock instead of augmented diesel railcar sets, NIR found itself with no suitable main line diesel locomotives. The Class 101 (DL) became the answer to the immediate problem working in conjunction with the newly acquired British Rail Mark 2 coaches. Tito's ''Blue Train'' ( sr, Плави воз, Plavi voz; hr, Plavi vlak; sl, Modri vlak; mk, Синиот воз, Siniot voz) is a luxury train, once used by Josip Broz Tito, while president of the former Yugoslavia. It is now operated as a tourist attraction on the Belgrade–Bar railway, between Belgrade, capital of Serbia, and Bar, a coastal town in Montenegro. The train is stationed at the Topčider depot in Belgrade and can be visited for a fee. Tito's era The train was introduced in the 1950s with Art Deco interior design features. Driving Brake Standard Open
A Driving Brake Standard Open (DBSO) is a type of railway carriage in Great Britain, converted to operate as a control car; this is not to be confused with DVTs, such as those in InterCity 225 sets. Fourteen such vehicles, numbered 9701 to 9714, were converted from Mark 2F Brake Standard Open (standard class coaches with brake van) carriages. Modifications included adding a driving cab and TDM equipment to allow a locomotive to be driven remotely. Using a system known as push–pull, the driver in the DBSO can drive the locomotive, even though it is at the rear of the train. Operations The vehicles were converted in two batches. The Broadmeadow viaduct is a rail bridge carrying the main Dublin to Belfast railway across the estuary of the Broadmeadow River, about 13 kilometres north of Dublin, Ireland. Just north of Malahide village, it is approximately 180 metres (600 feet) long and is a section of a longer crossing constructed as an embankment.
