Herbert Svavar Arnarson (born May 4, 1970) is an Icelandic former basketball player and a former member of Icelandic national team. In 1995, he was the second player to be named both the Úrvalsdeild karla Domestic Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year in the same season. Helgi Már Magnússon (born August 27, 1982) is an Icelandic basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach of KR in the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild karla. As a player, he has won seven national championships in Iceland during his career. Jón Arnór Stefánsson
Jón Arnór Stefánsson (born 21 September 1982) is an Icelandic basketball player and a former member of the Icelandic national team. One of Iceland's most successful athletes of the early 21st century, he was the Icelandic Sportsperson of the Year in 2014 and was a 12-time Icelandic Male Basketball Player of the Year. Hlynur Elías Bæringsson (born 6 July 1982) is an Icelandic professional basketball player for Stjarnan of the Úrvalsdeild karla and a member of the Icelandic national basketball team. He won the Icelandic championship in 2010 as a member of Snæfell and the Swedish championship in 2011 as a member of Sundsvall Dragons. The Vestri men's basketball team, commonly known as Vestri, is a basketball team based in Ísafjörður, Iceland. The club was founded in 1965 as Körfuknattleiksfélag Ísafjarðar and held that name until it merged with newly founded Íþróttafélagið Vestri multi-sport club in 2016 and became its basketball department. Friðrik Erlendur Stefánsson
Friðrik Erlendur Stefánsson (born 6 October 1976) is an Icelandic former professional basketball player who spent 17 seasons with Njarðvík, winning the Icelandic national championship three times and the Icelandic Basketball Cup three times. In 2006 he was voted as the Úrvalsdeild domestic player of the year. Early life and career Friðrik grew up in Vestmannaeyjar where he started practicing basketball at the age of 16 with a local team called Týr.
