ÍBV Women's Football
The ÍBV women's football team is the women's football department of the ÍBV-íþróttafélag (English: ÍBV sports club) multi-sport club. It is based in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland, and currently plays in the Úrvalsdeild kvenna, the top-tier women's football league in Iceland. The team plays it home games at the Hásteinsvöllur. ÍBV has won the Icelandic Cup twice, in 2004 and 2017. History ÍBV women's team first played in 1993, in the Icelandic second-tier 1. deild kvenna (then named 2. deild kvenna) but folded after five games. The team was back the next season and in 1996 it was promoted to Úrvalsdeild kvenna. The team folded after the 2004 season but was resurrected in 2007 when it participated in the Icelandic cup. In 2008 they participated again in 1. deild kvenna and in 2010 they won the league and got promoted back to Úrvalsdeild kvenna. Hásteinsvöllur
Hásteinsvöllur () is a multi-use stadium in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland. It is located in the town of Vestmannaeyjar on the island of Heimaey. It is used mostly for football matches, and is the home ground of Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja (ÍBV) is an Icelandic multi-sports district association from Vestmannaeyjar off the south coast of Iceland. Jonathan Ricardo Glenn (born 27 August 1987) is a Trinidad and Tobago football coach and former international player. Michelle Barr
Michelle Barr (born 19 October 1978) is a Scottish football coach and former player who is the head coach of Old Dominion Monarchs college soccer team. She formerly played in the Scottish Women's Premier League for both Celtic and Rangers. Elísabet Gunnarsdóttir (born 2 October 1976) is an Icelandic football coach and former player, currently in charge of Swedish Damallsvenskan club Kristianstads DFF. Elísabet was the head coach of the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild kvenna team Valur from 2003 to 2008; during which her team won four league titles and one cup title. Heimir Hallgrímsson (born 10 June 1967) is an Icelandic former football player, dentist, and current manager of the Jamaica national football team. Career As a player Heimir started playing for ÍBV from his local town Vestmannaeyjar in 1986. He played with them until 1996 except for the 1993 season in which he played for Höttur while managing their women's team. Sigurlás Þorleifsson ( – 24 April 2018) was an Icelandic footballer. He was part of the Iceland national football team between 1979 and 1982. He played 10 matches, scoring 2 goals. With Knattspyrnufélagið Víkingur he was topscorer of the 1979 Úrvalsdeild with twelve goals. Later with his club Íþróttabandalag Vestmannaeyja he was again topscorer af the 1981 Úrvalsdeild (12 goals) and 1982 Úrvalsdeild (10 goals). Icelandic Women's Super Cup
The Icelandic Women's Super Cup (Icelandic: ''Meistarakeppni kvenna'') is an annual football game between the reigning champions of the Icelandic League (Úrvalsdeild) champions and the Icelandic Cup holders (or, if the same team holds both titles, between the title-holder and (usually) the team in second place in the Úrvalsdeild or occasionally the second placed team in the Icelandic Cup). It generally takes place at the start of the Iceland domestic season, in May and has been running uninterrupted since 2003 (when the holders of the 2002 titles met). Before that the competition was uninterrupted between 1992 and 1998. Title-holders from 1999, 2000 and 2001 did not play for this title.
