École Des Mines D'Albi-Carmaux
The École des Mines d'Albi (officially ''École Nationale Supérieure des Mines d'Albi-Carmaux'', also known as ''EMAC'' or ''Mines Albi'', ex-''ENSTIMAC'') was created in 1993. It is a French engineering school (i.e. Grandes écoles) part of the Groupe des écoles des mines and joined the Institut Mines-Télécom the first of March 2012. The school is located in the city of Albi on a 22 hectares campus. The Ivy League is an American collegiate athletic conference comprising eight private research universities in the Northeastern United States. The term ''Ivy League'' is typically used beyond the sports context to refer to the eight schools as a group of elite colleges with connotations of academic excellence, selectivity in admissions, and social elitism. Its members are Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University. IMT Nord Europe or ''École nationale supérieure Mines-Télécom Lille Douai'' is a French graduate school of engineering ( grande école d'ingénieurs). The Diplôme d'Ingénieur (, often abbreviated as ''Dipl. Ing.'') is a postgraduate degree in engineering ''(see Engineer's Degrees in Europe)'' usually awarded by the Grandes Écoles in engineering. It is generally obtained after five to seven years of studies after the Baccalauréat. Each holder of the diplôme d'ingénieur is also conferred the title of ''Ingénieur diplômé'' (graduate engineer). Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI) is the main committee responsible for evaluation and accreditation of higher education institutions for the training of professional engineers in France. It regulates the issuance of the ''Diplôme d'ingénieur'' and use of the academic title of "''Ingénieur Diplomé"'' (qualified graduate engineer). Established by law on 10 July 1934, CTI does not exist as an independent administrative authority, but is nonetheless an autonomous structure within the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Cairn
A cairn is a man-made pile (or stack) of stones raised for a purpose, usually as a marker or as a burial mound. The word ''cairn'' comes from the gd, càrn (plural ). Cairns have been and are used for a broad variety of purposes. In prehistoric times, they were raised as markers, as memorials and as burial monuments (some of which contained chambers).
