Äli Bektaev
Äli Äbdikärimuly Bektaev (, ''Äli Äbdıkärımūly Bektaev''; born 20 April 1962) is a Kazakh politician who's serving as a Senator for Turkistan Region since 1 October 2014. From February 2006 to May 2008, he was the Äkim of Turkistan and continued serving as deputy until 2014. He's also the Chairman of Auyl People's Democratic Patriotic Party since 26 August 2015. Biography Early life and education Bektaev was born to a Muslim Kazakh family in the village of Yangi-Bazar in Turkistan Region. He is the son of Abdulkarim (Äbdikärim) Bektaev. In 1984, he graduated from the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization in the Kazakh National Agrarian University as a mechanical engineer. In 1992, he earned his degree from the Faculty of Political Science in the KIMEP University with a degree in Theory of Social and Political Relations. Senate Of Kazakhstan
The Senate of Kazakhstan ( kk, Qazaqstan Parlamentınıñ Senaty, ''Қазақстан Парламентінің Сенаты'') is the upper house of two chambers in Kazakhstan's legislature, known as the Parliament (''Parlamenti''). The Senate is composed of elected members: two from each region and two from three municipalities which are Almaty, Astana, and Shymkent. Members of the Senate are elected on the basis of indirect suffrage by secret ballot. Half of elected members of the Senate are up for election every three years. Fifteen members are appointed by the President of Kazakhstan with the view to ensure representation for all the diverse national, cultural components of society. Astana, previously known as Akmolinsk, Tselinograd, Akmola, and most recently Nur-Sultan, is the capital city of Kazakhstan. The "Auyl" People's Patriotic Democratic Party (, ''«Auyl» Halyqtyq-demokratialyq patriottyq partiasy''; AHDPP) or simply as "Auyl" HDPP, is a political party in Kazakhstan. It was originally founded by Gani Qaliev on 30 January 2000 as the "Auyl" Peasant Social Democratic Party before eventually merging with the Party of Patriots of Kazakhstan on 5 September 2015. Turkistan ( kz, Түркістан, ''Türkıstan'') is a city and the administrative center of Turkistan Region of Kazakhstan, near the Syr Darya river. It is situated north-west of Shymkent on the Trans-Aral Railway between Kyzylorda to the north and Tashkent to the south.
