Árpád Fazekas (born 20 July 1949) is a Romanian former international footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Born in Bahnea, Fazekas played for Chimica Târnăveni and ASA Târgu Mureș. He earned three international caps for Romania, making his debut under coach Valentin Stănescu in a 1–1 against Greece at the 1973–76 Balkan Cup The 1973–76 Balkan Cup was the 11th Balkan Cup football tournament. It was the first tournament played in a knockout system with semi-finals and finals. It was played between April 1973 and November 1976 between Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Gree .... Bahnea
Bahnea ( hu, Bonyha; Hungarian pronunciation: , until 1898 ''Szászbonyha''; German: ''Bachnen'') is a commune in Mureș County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of seven villages: Bahnea, Bernadea (''Bernád''), Cund (''Kund''; ''Reussdorf''), Daia (''Dányán''), Gogan (''Gógán''), Idiciu (''Jövedics''), and Lepindea (''Leppend''). The commune is located in the southern part of the county, on the border with Sibiu County, from Târnăveni and from the county seat, Târgu Mureș. It is traversed by the Târnava Mică river. At the 2011 census, 35.1% of inhabitants were Roma, 33.3% Romanians, and 30.8% Hungarians. The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete.
