Àrea Natural D'especial Interès
A Natural Area of Special Interest (Spanish: ''Área Natural de Especial Interés'', Catalan: Área natural d'especial interès; acronym: ANEI) is a protected area within the Balearic Islands, Spain that is below the level of a Nature park (Spain), natural park. The law creating ANEIs, Law 1/1991, enacted on January 30, designated 47 ANEIs in Mallorca, 19 on Menorca, 10 on Ibiza and 8 on Formentera. Balearic Islands
The Balearic Islands ( es, Islas Baleares ; or ca, Illes Balears ) are an archipelago in the Balearic Sea, near the eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula. The archipelago is an autonomous community and a province of Spain; its capital is Palma. The 2007 Statute of Autonomy designates the Balearic Islands as one of the ''nationalities'' of Spain. The official languages of the Balearic Islands are Catalan and Spanish. Its four largest islands are Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. Felanitx
Felanitx or Felanich is a municipality in the Spanish autonomous community of the Balearic Islands, located in the southeast of Majorca, 48 kilometres (30 miles) from the capital Palma de Mallorca. The town, dating back to the 13th century, lies near the medieval Sant Salvador Monastery with its Gothic architecture. Culture The St. Agustí convent was founded by Augustinians in the 17th Century. In 1881 the Felanitx town council took over the church and celebrates that event every year.
