''The Garcias Return'' (Spanish: ''¡Vuelven los García!'') is a 1947 Mexican comedy film directed by Ismael Rodríguez and starring Pedro Infante, Sara García, Abel Salazar (actor), Abel Salazar and Marga López. Mora p.81 It was shot at the Tepeyac Studios in Mexico City. The film's sets were designed by the art director Carlos Toussaint. It is a sequel of ''The Three Garcias'', released earlier the same year. Synopsis Luis Antonio, Jose Luis and Luis Manuel are back and seemingly at ease with each other. However, destiny has something in store for them: the spawn of one of the evil Lopez, siblings Leon and Juan Simon, are looking for vengeance. Ismael Rodríguez
Ismael Rodríguez (October 19, 1917 – August 7, 2004) was a Mexican film director. Rodríguez rose to fame due to the movies he directed starring Pedro Infante, and directed many major stars, including Dolores del Río, María Félix, Toshiro Mifune, Jorge Negrete, Sara García, Luis Aguilar, Tito Guízar, Gloria Marín, Carmelita González, Antonio Aguilar, Columba Domínguez and Flor Silvestre. He directed the film ''Ánimas Trujano (film), Ánimas Trujano'' (1961) for which he was nominated for an Academy Awards, Oscar for Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Foreign Language Film. Rodríguez's most renowned international film is ''Tizoc (film), Tizoc'', in which Pedro Infante starred alongside María Félix. For this role, Infante won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 7th Berlin International Film Festival. He died on 7 August 2004 at the age of 87. Selected filmography References External links

The Three Garcias
''The Three Garcias'' (Spanish: ''Los tres García'') is a 1947 Mexican comedy film by Ismael Rodríguez and starring Pedro Infante, Sara García, Abel Salazar and Marga López. Egan & Long p.91 It was shot at the Tepeyac Studios in Mexico City. The film's sets were designed by the art director Carlos Toussaint. A sequel '' The Garcias Return'' was released a few months later the same year. For the film's exterior shots, the Delegation or City of Cuajimalpa (within modern Mexico City), was used, specially Parroquia San Pedro Apostol, which still provides religious services. Pedro Infante fell in love with the town, the locals and countryside, to the point of building a large mansion just outside Cuajimalpa. He lived there until his death in 1957. The house stood there until the 1990s; it was later demolished and Husky Injection Molding Systems Mexico was constructed on the same site. Blanca Estela Pavón
María Blanca Estela Pavón Vasconcelos (February 21, 1926 – September 26, 1949) was a Mexican film actress and singer of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. She appeared in several classic films of the 1940s. Her career peaked in 1948 and 1949. She won an Ariel Award for Best Actress in the 1947 film ''Cuando lloran los valientes'' (transl: When the brave cry) and was nominated for another due to her successful performances in Mexican films. She starred alongside Mexican star Pedro Infante in several films, including ''Nosotros los Pobres'' in 1948. On September 26, 1949, she died in a 1949 Mexicana DC-3 crash, plane crash near the Popocatépetl volcano located between Mexico City and Puebla, Puebla, Puebla with her father Francisco and another 22 people on board.
