''(CH-VOX)'' is the third studio album by British music group Seefeel. The album was released in 1996 on friend Richard D. James's label Rephlex Records. Release ''(CH-VOX)'' was released on vinyl and compact disc on Rephlex Records on 11 November 1996. The album was made up of tracks recorded two years prior to its release. ''(Ch-Vox) Redux'' was released on 14 May 2021, containing six previously unreleased tracks. Seefeel are a British electronic and post-rock band formed in the early 1990s by Mark Clifford (guitar, programming), Daren Seymour (bass), Justin Fletcher (drums, programming), and Sarah Peacock (vocals, guitar). Their work became known for fusing guitar-based shoegaze with the production techniques of ambient techno and electronica. ''Succour'' is the second studio album by British band Seefeel. It was released on 20 March 1995 on Warp and did not receive a release in the United States. Background After the release of '' Quique'', Seefeel left Too Pure Records and signed to the more electronic music-oriented Warp, where they released the EP ''Starethrough'' and were included on Warp's compilation album ''Artificial Intelligence II'' in 1994. Seefeel followed these releases with ''Succour'' in 1995. Philip Sherburne of ''Pitchfork'' contrasted ''Succour'' with the band's previous album ''Quique'', noting that while ''Quique'' contained stylistic traits of shoegaze and ambient dub, ''Succour'' appeared to be more influenced by the likes of Aphex Twin. Rephlex Records was a record label launched in 1991 in Cornwall by electronic musician Richard D. James (aka Aphex Twin) and Grant Wilson-Claridge. The label coined the term ''braindance'' to describe the output of Aphex Twin and fellow artists. History In 1989, Grant Wilson-Claridge met Richard D. James (a.k.a. Aphex Twin) DJing at The Bowgie, a club located just along the coast from Newquay, Cornwall. According to Wilson-Claridge, back in 1989, "the Bowgie was the best club ever...this was before Newquay turned into the Cornish Ibiza" and it was very difficult to hear new and interesting music. Wilson-Claridge and James used to DJ on alternate weeks. When he noticed that James was playing his own tapes rather than records, Wilson-Claridge suggested that they press up some records.
