Yoshiyuki Tomino
is a Japanese mecha anime creator, animator, director, screenwriter, songwriter and novelist best known for creating the ''Gundam'' anime franchise. He was born in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, and studied at Nihon University's College of Art. Career & Legacy Tomino began his career in 1963 with Osamu Tezuka's company, Mushi Productions, scripting the storyboards and screenplay of the first Japanese anime television series, '' Tetsuwan Atomu'' (also known as ''Astro Boy''). According to anime producer Seiji Suzuki, while at the company, he was under the mentorship of Hiroshi Wakao, the later founder and first president of production studio Shaft. Aura Battler Dunbine
is an anime television series created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and produced by Sotsu and Sunrise (company), Sunrise. ''Dunbine'' is set in Byston Well, a parallel world that resembles the countryside of medieval Europe with kingdoms ruled by monarchs in castles, armies of unicorn-riding cavalry armed with swords and crossbows, and little winged creatures called Ferario, flying about offering help or hindrance depending on their mood. The main draw to the series were the insect-like ''Aura Battlers'', used by the population of Byston Well to fight their wars. These Mechs, fighting suits are powered by a powerful energy called "Aura (paranormal), aura" or "life energy." Neil Sedaka (; born March 13, 1939) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. , previously known as MIO, is a Japanese pop singer and vocal trainer from Minato, Tokyo. She is known for her performances on the soundtracks of various anime, notably the theme songs of Sunrise's ''Combat Mecha Xabungle'' ''Aura Battler Dunbine'' ''Heavy Metal L-Gaim'' '' Star Musketeer Bismark'' and ''Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory''. is a Japanese composer, arranger and music producer best known for her work on the soundtracks of anime series, television series, live-action films, video games, and advertisements. She was born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
